Why Cold Press Mustard Oil?
Extracted below 45°C
Traditional wooden ghani cold pressing keeps temperature under 45°C — preserving every Omega-3, Vitamin E, and glucosinolate that heat destroys.
Rich in Omega-3 & Omega-6
6–14% ALA (Omega-3) and 15–30% linoleic acid (Omega-6) — the ideal fatty acid ratio for heart health, inflammation control, and brain function.
Zero hexane, zero bleaching
No petroleum solvents, no bleaching agents, no deodorisation. Just seeds and slow mechanical pressure — nothing added, nothing removed.
FSSAI certified
Manufactured under FSSAI food safety standards at DSS 53, Sector 9A Market, Gurugram. Every batch is traceable from seed to bottle.
Natural glucosinolates
The sulphur compounds that give mustard oil its authentic pungency also have documented anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-cancer properties.
Heart-healthy fat profile
Low in saturated fat (5–6%), high in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. The MUFA:PUFA ratio is among the best of all cooking oils.
How to Use Cold Press Mustard Oil
Tadka & tempering
Heat 1–2 tbsp in a kadai until it just begins to smoke. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves, dried red chilli. The pungency mellows beautifully with heat.
Marinades & pickles
Use raw (unheated) for marinades, achaar, and chutneys. Raw cold pressed mustard oil has the strongest flavour and maximum nutritional benefit.
Deep frying
Smoke point ~250°C — excellent for pakoras, mathri, puri, and all deep-frying. The high smoke point means less breakdown and less acrolein formation.
Hair & scalp massage
Warm slightly and massage into scalp. Leave for 30–60 minutes before washing. Natural glucosinolates stimulate circulation and have anti-fungal properties.
Skin & body care
Apply to dry skin as a natural moisturiser. The Omega-3 and Vitamin E content supports skin barrier function. Traditional use in baby massage (malish).
Nutritional Profile

Frequently Asked Questions
Cold pressed (kachi ghani) is extracted below 45°C with no chemicals — retaining all Omega-3, Vitamin E, and glucosinolates. Refined oil is processed at 160–220°C with hexane solvent, bleaching, and deodorisation, destroying most of these nutrients.
The pungent aroma is allyl isothiocyanate — a natural compound with anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Refined oil has this stripped out by deodorisation. The strong smell is a sign of purity, not a defect.
Yes. Cold pressed mustard oil has a smoke point of ~250°C — higher than most cooking oils. It is excellent for tadka, deep frying, sautéing, and all Indian cooking methods.
Yes — fine seed particles that settle naturally. This is a sign of minimal processing, not contamination. It is safe to consume. Shake gently before use or leave it — both are fine.
